Springfield debut at Patton Alley: done and done!

Thanks to everyone who came out to see our Springfield debut last night at Patton Alley, we had a blast! Thanks Yankton Sothern of HeartPunch for playing a sweet solo set, and for running sound for us...and thanks to Super String Theory (including our own Bart Kelley) for rounding out the night in their typically intense way. A successful team effort to bring quality entertainment to downtown Springpatch. If you were there, send pics to info@RocketPogo.com, thanks!

CHANGE OF TIME/ACTS TONITE Uh ok...yeah...YEAH!

Ok slight change of plans for our big Springfield debut tonight...we were to open for HeartPunch, but they have been unavoidably detained (no not jail!)--however Yankton Sothern of HeartPunch will be there with a special intimate solo performance at around 9:30pm, ahead of us. Should be really cool, he's great. We will then go on about 10:30 or so, add a few extra surprise tunes, and then--EXTRA special guests Super String Theory featuring our own Bart Kelley on drums will go on to finish the night from oh we don't know midnight 'til 1am? If you haven't seen them you need to, it's quite intense indeed, and the musicianship is just jaw-dropping. So this will be a FAB night of music, can't wait to see you there!

Rocket Pogo debut!

Rocket Pogo maiden voyage last night at Copper Run distillery to benefit Ozarks Literacy Council--had a great time for a great cause! Copper Run is an amazing little place, with regular tours of the real deal distillery, SMOOTH moonshine (yes there is such a thing!) and great staff--thanks especially Breanna--and everyone else who worked so hard to pull this successful fundraiser together.

And congratulations to our singer Tony Venute for nailing down his very first gig, we're proud of you brother!

Next stop: Saturday 11/23 Patton Alley Pub, Springfield, MO

"Riddle" video shoot: the chase

Completed outdoor shots today thanks to Kenny's neighbor and friend Adam Szura who played "the cop"...he was made for that role! (Adam's friends know what we're talking about.) Thanks also to Adam's nephew Alex who played the role of "incidental kid" and got to yell "action!" a couple of times.

Just a bit of indoor footage to pin down and we'll wrap shooting, and turn it over to Elton and Brian for editing.

Ing

Kenny and spouse drove up to Columbia to see Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin last Thur (they never play Spfld anymore!), says they were great, and says the opening acts were also excellent...one of them was Springfield "lullabye rock" band Ing (formerly Plaid Dragon, they changed their name at that very show), and Kenny wants everyone to be sure and check them out. Their new EP is due out 10/22, and they have some streamable music online right now too, just nose around a bit.

Video shoot

Thanks to everyone who came to the video shoot today, we had a blast! Still a bit more footage to shoot in the dark underbelly of Springfield (literally)...editing will take a while so be patient, but we're sure it's going to be great thanks to movie guys Elton Rose and Brian Mehrens.
